and its not even a youth event! My husband has decided recently, in the past month or so, to not only continue to “soft” snore, but to do it a little louder and now has added a clicky sound that he makes with his mouth and his throat. It’s awesome! I think the only thing that will cure it is if I tape his mouth and nose closed when he sleeps. I’m no expert, but I think this might kill him. Being 4:18 in the morning, and I have been up since 2ish, its still not such a bad idea!

My husband has also picked up heavy snoring when he is really tired! I told him about it and he said he would love to hear how bad it is. Sooooo….one night I was not too tired and I got the vidoe camera out and video taped this non-human snoring! He laughed and laughed at the video and now he somehow is able to stop when I tell him to “Quit Snoring!”
Oh! Fun Times!
P.S. I enjoy your site…my husband found it for me and we also have been listening to the marriage podcast from the Field’s. My husband is a part time Youth Director at our church and also works full time at delivery and sales. I am at home raising our 3 children. Thanks for sharing your life!
On the flip side, I frequently wake my wife with snoring. To manage the madness, I got a mouthguard (I also grind my teeth, so that’s a bonus) and I started sleeping on my stomach. The whole set up took some getting used to, but my wife agrees it’s better now. Not perfect but, better.
*For stomach sleeping, a pillow under my head and chest makes all the difference. Otherwise, it’s hard to breathe and my shoulders hurt.
Duct tape!
as long as he doesn’t keep you up when they baby comes, you don’t need to be up with 2 babies!!
This is EXACTLY why I sleep in my OWN bed most of the time
I LOVE it! My son and husband sleep together famously. They both like to snuggle – I dont. The trade off is that I have the cats, but at least they dont snore
My husband has this weird blowing thing that he does right after taking in that big SNORE…its lovely. He even does it on his stomach! Thats talent!
I say get your own bed!
kicking can be very powerful…
These are all so funny! I really enjoy this blog! Have a nice day. : )
If I’m awake, then he needs to be awake long enough to hear that he’s snoring and that he needs to turn over and sleep on his side.
I figure I’m doing him a favor because he’s probably not getting very good sleep while he’s snoring – and he needs all the oxygen to his brain that he can get!
Before our baby, I resorted to earplugs. Now I sleep on the couch or in the spare room most of the time!
