Anyway, I am SO excited for the upcoming conference! So glad so many of you are going to be there. I am going to be leading an affinity group in the evenings (or whenever they meet) called, “Married to a Youth Pastor”- so original. Please come find me! Let’s hang out. We are going to talk about the things YOU want to talk about. The stuff you asked for on the blog. Any more ideas? I’m open…..
Also, a very good friend Carol Timmons, mentor, gifted, loving, caring, amazing counselor from God will be with us for some of the tough stuff we might be going through. (Group thought of everything).
I think it will be fun to post stuff as we meet for those that can’t come. I even think there a few podcasts this year, so you could still watch a few things.? I’ll look into it if anyone is interested.
Just some random thoughts as I am trying to get my head together for this weekend.

I’m Amanda Maguire and I have been “Married to a Youth Pastor” for almost 12 years now. We have 3 kids, Dylan (8) and Molly (6) and Scotty (3). I worked in full-time youth ministry for 4 years, got married and got a “real job”, allowing me to continue to be a volunteer in youth ministry for another 4 years. We started having kids and now I’m just married to the Youth Pastor. I have great friends and a fun life! I have a passion and a calling for wives just like me, married to a Youth Pastor.
I love to write.
I love to do creative activities.
I love to run.
I love to shop.
I love to dine out.
And I would love time to do any of these things more.

i am hoping to join your affinity group….can you pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease talk about how to support the youth ministry with young children (preschool and baby)? this is my biggest struggle right now and i am just wondering how other moms out there do it…thanks…hope to see you this weekend!
Hooray! It’s been great to talk with you in person! We had a great discussion last night at the affinity group – splitting into those w/ kids and those w/out. Our main discussion was about balancing – everything… how involved we are in our hubby’s ministry, whether we feel pressured to serve or not, and how our kids fit into it. It’s always so energizing to meet w/ others who can so clearly understand life in youth ministry.
Pod casts – really?? That’s awesome! yes I would also love to hear what you guys discuss, tips, advise, whatever! Hope you all have an amazing time.
