God is good all the time…(Period. Or Question mark?)
By Amanda on Oct 2, 2009 in Featured
Something that my head knows but it’s often hard to believe with my heart.
God is good all the time.
Many times I end this statement with a question mark instead of a period.
My kids are sick, God is good all the time?
We can’t make ends meet this month, God is good all the time?
I feel alone, God is good all the time?
I don’t feel supported at our church, God is good all the time?
Whatever the circumstance I know it end with a period.
Can’t wait for the day when I believe it with all of my heart in all of my circumstances.
He certainly is. My current statement would go something like this
When dh has been out of a job for over a year, God is good all the time?
And believe me I know that He is but sometimes those feelings get in the way. And that is when He usually sends something my way to make me remember how good He is!

It is hard to say it sometimes. Thanks for the reminder and for being real.

I recently bumped into your blog and it has been such a blessing. I have been dating my boyfriend (youth pastor) for 4 years and the thought of being a pastor’s wife is sometimes overwhelming. To make it even more overwhelming his dad is a the senior pastor in our church. Thank you very much for being so real and honest. Any advice I can get to better prepare me for what lies ahead, is greatly appreciated. May God bless you abundantly.

My husband, who is youth pastor actually told me about your site recently, so I thought that I would just check it out. Amazingly I read your topic about God is good all of the time…and God really has brought me through this concept the past few months. God has proven himself through it all! I now KNOW that God is good all of the time”.” Thank you for posting a website to encourage us wives of the youth pastor. It is much needed.
