I found this “10 Tips for helping your Pastor’s Wife” on the internet. It gave me the giggles. I was just imagining some random person from church approaching me and presenting me with the gift of a dress. How do you respond to that? I just wouldn’t know what to do with that except blog about it. (I kinda hope that happens some day) But I do love all the other ideas of lunch, cards, flower, and gifts, oh sure, prayer too.

hmmm… yes, this is odd.
5. Take her to the beauty shop – what, and shout her a leg wax?
7. Clean the church for her – because she might as well live there?
8. Send her a card – I get those nutty cards, I’m not really a fan. They are either all sympathetic about how life must be so hard on our salary and with hard time committments, or they are all adoring as if my husband is God himself and I’m so lucky to be living with him and his socks all over the apartment.
11. How to really bless me? Send cash in an envelope, or yes, a gift card. Don’t put a name on it so I don’t have to feel bad, and DON’T WRITE ANYTHING! or alternatively, you could just pop up to me in church and thank us for looking after your kids. I actually enjoy meeting parents, mostly.
