Connecting

I haven’t been feeling “plugged” in to the HS ministry this summer, so to kick off the school year I planned a HS staff appreciation dinner. It was so good to be with the team and their spouses. We really appreciated the wives by showering them with praise and gifts. It was super simple, just a swim party together (no kids). It’s amazing how just a few intentional hours together can make such a difference in connecting. I really love our team. And was reminded that together paid, unpaid, volunteer, spouse (seen or unseen)…we all are pouring into the lives of students and make the team what it is, strong and amazing!

I love leaders meeting. Sometimes it’s just to busy at church to make sure the other leaders are good and that everyone is on the same page. I do have a question for you though. My husband is the associate pastor at our church ad I am very involved with his ministries and I love it. But right now I am really struggling with something. There is a womans bible study at our church and I was invites to a different one that is at the same time. I went to the one at our church in the spring and it was fine but I would really like to go to the other one. It’s a little deeper and there are women there from a bunch of churches in our tiny town. I don’t want to put my husband in a difficult position of having to field questions as to why I am not at the church bible study but at the same time why do I have to be fewed differently just beacuse I am the pastors wife? Am I not supporting the other ministies at our church by going to te other bible study?God calls us to be one ad that doesn’t just mean be one with our church but be one with all believers. I just wanted to get some feed on this topic. It’s a little hard for me because our sr pastor is not married so I have no one around in my situations. This blog is a real encouragment to me.
