Hey Anne, and Chantel,
My husband and I have been married for coming up on four years. We can't have kids so I would love to talk about non-kid struggles. I mean this is great, but YP wifes without kids have issues too. I have been trying to find some one I can relate to.

Hey Anne,

I am not married yet.... but we will be soon and maybe you can help me out:) I don't have a lot to offer yet but it always feels nice to bounce ideas off of someone who has been where I am and understands :)

My husband & I have been married just under 2 years and we don't have kids. We'll talk about it in a couple years, but for now, our house is a no-kid zone. We even have white furniture. :-) What are some of your non-kid struggles? Maybe we have some in common.

I am 37 weeks and totally feel your pain. I was just telling my husband tonight that I can't wait until I can finally breathe again without feeling like someone is trying to suffocate me! Fortunately for me though, I am scheduled for a c-section on the 12th, so I only have a few more days. Hopefully some of these suggestions will work for you! Good luck and let us know how everything goes.

I am so surprised how many of you tried castor oil! I did the same thing and my baby came that night- he was a week late and I was so ready for him to be out! Some people say not to use it though because it can cause the baby stress. I'm not sure but it worked perfectly for me.

Curb walking. Worked with one. One foot in the gutter, one foot on the curb. Makes you feel like an idiot, but it really opens things up. Apparently there is a restaurant in LA that serves a labor-inducing salad. But they don't give out the recipe. Hahaha. Anyhow, the curb walking will be extra good if you are fishing shoes out of the gutter. :) Good luck!

Egg Plant Parmeisan! I live in Atlanta, Ga and there is an italian restaurant here that will give you a free meal if you do not go into labor within 48 hours of eating there egg plant parmeisan. I know it sounds crazy but there walls are filled with baby pictures and believe it or not it work for me and my husband. I had are 2 baby boy one week early, 48 hours after eating the egg plant. I know that you can't get to Atlanta but you can get there recipe online and make it at home. http://www.scalinis.com/
Here is the website to the restaurant. If you make it and it works I would love to know.
People around here swear by it!
Good Luck

In my experience it happens when it is supposed to happen. I have heard the caster oil thing, but my midwife said that it really just acts like a laxative so it makes you have to poop, and those "little contractions" if that is what you can call them start bigger contractions. However, if it is not the right time and you get them going, then the labor can be more difficult and longer. It's hard when you are so uncomfortable to wait.
