Thank you. I agree with what Jennifer said. How wonderful that summer reminds us how great a crazy fall really is. Happy spagetti Monday :)

Amanda,
This blog is a real blessing to me (and many others), as well! I am so grateful to have an online community of women in the same sort of shoes I am in. Lately, I've found myself getting super-excited at the thought of this year's youth ministry conference. I can't wait to meet up with this great group of women again!

Oh, Amanda! I'm so glad you can breathe again. Your life is so close to mine that at times, I'm afraid to vent too much!:-) I believe it was last year at this time that I shared my hilarious and embarrassing story for your contest. You may remember my husband had been gone for so long that although we were in my hometown, we got a hotel while my parents watched our daughter. Well, this year, he was gone even more (new church)AND we had a new baby at the end of May so I've been surviving with only God's help.

One thing I am so thankful for in this day and age: technology--because my hubby twittered, I was able to get updates on how he was doing since his cell didn't have service at camp. When he was an amusement park with the teens, he twittered and sent pics on his phone to me so I could see what he was doing. I was able to send him things the kids were doing, too! I didn't feel so cut off from him this time.

I am so glad the fall schedule and it's busyness is ready to start because it is WAY more PREDICTABLE! :-) Enjoy every hr you have together when the baby is sleeping before going to bed or if your others are napping. That's how we're making time in this crazy thing called life. Sure, I'm not getting much sleep with nursing an infant and chasing a three year old, BUT they know their Mommy loves them and if I can help to guide them to be what God has called them to be (and keep them from hating the church someday), I think all this lack of sleep will be worth it.

Our hubby's will age some day, might even (gasp!) not always be a youth pastor and we just might get them at a normal time in the evening. By then our kids will be gone and then it will start over with grandkids, but we'll get our sleep by then, too!:-) There's a light at the end of the tunnel. Meanwhile, I know my hubby rocks as a pastor and I'm proud to be his wife, even if I have to share him.
